Jan's Christmas present from me was an afternoon out on the Leeuwin II, a replica tall ship that is both well-known and well-loved here in Western Australia. It was a perfect sailing day: enough wind, enough sunshine, not too hot, not too cold. Seaman Jan was constantly persuaded by the crew to help with lots of heavy rope pulling as we sailed out towards Rottnest and back again to Fremantle.
Als Weihnachtsgeschenk von mir hat Jan (und auch ich) die Möglichkeit, auf der Leeuwin II zu segeln. Sie ist eine Schoner die hier in Westaustralien ganz berühmht und beliebt ist. Der Tag war perfekt für Segeln - sonnig und warm, genung Wind. Seefahrer Jan war ständig gefordert, die Crew beim Seil ziehen zu helfen, hat er sehr gut gemacht!
