Last weekend we enjoyed an overnight stay in the Swan Valley - actually a wedding gift from Zoe and Geoff that we'd finally got a chance to use - staying at the Grandis Cottages. The Swan Valley is just east of Perth and is famous as the home of wineries and breweries - and a branch of the Margaret River Chocolate Factory. You won't be surprised to learn we spent a fair bit of time there.Vergangenes Wochenende verbrachten wir im schoenen Swan Valley, östlich von Perth. Zoe und Geoff hatten uns ein Wochende in einem abgelegenen Cottage geschenkt. Das Swan Valley ist bekannt fuer seinen exzellenten Weinbau und hier und da wird auch gutes Bier gebraut. Nebenbei besuchten wir auch The Margaret River Chocolate Factory. "Die Qual der Wahl" hat uns keine Ruhe gelassen und wir verbrachten dort mehr Zeit als wir eingeplant hatten.
Our cottage was very cosy and we especially liked the great armchairs - as you can see from Jan's relaxed pose.
Unsere Unterkunft war sehr gemütlich, besonders war Jan von den super bequemen Sessel und dem offenen Kamin angetan. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden sicher irgendwann wieder kommen!
