Wave Rock is really a phenomenon. Few Western Australians visit it (none of Amanda's family and few of her friends have ever been there) but most tourists get out there, and for good reason. It's 2700 million years old (making our recent birthdays feel much better) and was formed over time by weathering and water erosion. It was both much bigger than we'd expected and much more surprising - we could also climb over, around and on top of it and the massive Hyden Rock of which it's really just a small part.

Die kleinen Freunde unten bevölkern die gesamte Gegend und stehen auch gerne mal für ein Foto bereit.
Our little friend below was more than happy to freeze for a photo (in fact we thought he'd never move again, as terrified as he was!). We spotted many other mates of his around the rock.
